  • The number of children admitted to foster care reached a record low in Fiscal Year 2015.
  • The average caseload of child protective workers has risen markedly over the last few years.
  • About half of all children in foster care are expected to return home.
  • Fewer than half of all siblings in foster care live apart from each other.
